I have been reading Shonda Rhimes’ book, Year of Yes. It was written a few years ago, but I figure any year can serve as the year of the yes, right? You know Shonda Rhimes, the creator and writer of the great Grey’s Anatomy. Great book. Game changing book. Merely one chapter into it, I realized that my sister Leslie is Shonda’s twin sister.
This is priceless! I laughed through the whole thing. I often get called out by....xxxx... for embellishing a story. (I'll leave this person nameless. They have no appreciation for storytelling). I usually say, "did everyone love it?", "Yes". Isn't that the point of any story? To be captivated and moved in some way? I mean, we're not on a witness stand.....that's a whole other story ! Sweet, warm, delightful and hilarious story! Childhood is magical! If only we could all go back and remember the stories of our childhood like you did with your sister. I am privileged to watch my 4 year old grand daughter in her world of make-believe and am so honored to be invited to live it with her from time-to-time! Thanks for this uplifting story!
