My dad died ten years ago today. I can’t believe it’s been that long and I can’t believe he is gone. What to say? How to honor him? He was a complicated man who could be tough. Cruel even. Complicated and I realize now a product of his own damaged history.
A beautiful remembrance from a daughter to her Father. On this day of remembrance, I will acknowledge all I learned from my Dad as well. Thanks for sharing.
Jean and I first went to Sint Maarten 40+ years ago, at a time when (I think) your dad was busy building some of the iconic resorts on the island. We will return (to St. Martin...the French side) this January for a couple of weeks and we will think of him often as we explore both sides of the island.
Oh I’m in awe. Well done Dad, we’ll done Christine.

Dear Christine--
I loved this. Thank you. and I agree with your Dad...when it's your final journey, you should get dressed up for it.
I love you!
Jamie
