So there I was sitting in my writer’s workshop, the topic of which was Essays. Who knew? Micro essays. Flash essays. List essays. Braided essays. Borrowed essays. I haven’t time to explain them all you now, but suffice to say that I can no longer say I’m an essayist, I have to figure out what kind. Yet another thing to add to my to do list. I’m exhausted just thinking about it.
I love this post. I often remind people I work with that my lifelong mantra (trite or not) is "Do unto others..." Sometimes, when I am really strong I even apply that to assholes. But not often.
